ARABIAN GULF LEAGUE SIDE DIBBA GIVEN ALL-CLEAR FOR NEW STADIUM

Plans for a new Dh52 million football stadium for Dibba FC have been given the green light.

The stadium will be built at the request of Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Ruler of Fujairah, and in accordance with the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and FIFA standards.

Initial plans are for a 300,000 square metre facility that meets international standards. The projected capacity for the venue is 9,000 seats. It is hoped that the stadium will also house community activities. 

The new stadium will be built on the land currently owned by the club.

Present at the signing of the agreement was Ktaibi Said Rashid, Vice Chairman of the Board, and a number of members of the Board of Dibba Sports and Cultural Club, and Jean Abdallki from the Office of Tylibert Gulf Consulting Engineers.

The Arabian Gulf League side, currently shares a ground with Fujairah SC for their home matches.​
